Back Home

Back home away after a few days in Inverkirkaig, North West Highlands. Weather was mainly good especially Saturday and Sunday. Rained a bit on Monday, distant thunder heard while at Durness. The rest of the week was a mix of sunshine, and the odd shower. A long drive home taking 13 hours even though it took 9 hours to get there. Odd, but a different way back.

Hot

Another two days of good weather. Sunny, hot and dry. After a visit to Metro Ctr. A long drive back, having dinner at Derwent Reservoir and returning through Stanhope and Wallsingham.

Car & Good Weather

Well after ordering tyres on Friday & wondering if they would be fitted on Wednesday, on Saturday decided to go to Costco & managed to get them fitted by 13:00 Joy. Yesterday and today Monday plenty of good sunny weather and hot at times. Bliss.

Phones!!!

A visit Teeside Park shops this morning then afternoon sorting out two new car tyres and what a faff. In the end just ordered tyres on line at Costco because no-one would answer the phone.

Water Meter

Not out today. Had to stay in for water meter to be fitted. Not happy - told it would be fitted outside but installed inside instead.

Not Summer

Though the weather forecast said a warmer day and sun by midday, you guessed correctly, it was wrong. Again. Cold morning, cloudy and grey. Even Hardwick Park was relatively quiet.

Tuesday Blues

Another cloudy day, at least the cloud is higher today. Cool too so it was fairly quiet out. Photo taken walk round East Park:

What happened ........

A completely different day from yesterday. From relatively very warm ,sunny weather (at least out of the breeze) to a cloudy, grey and cold day. Summer eh!

Sunny

A decent sunny day, continuing from yesterday but with a cool breeze at times. Hardwick Park was quiet early on but busy by midday. Photos of the day ready tomorrow on Weeklywatch. A few damselflies too. Photo: Hawthorn blossom.

Hawthorn

A cloudy start to the morning but the sun appeared by 10:00. Still a cool easterly breeze though. Out over the fields the hawthorn tree bloom this year are the best for many years.

Garden Bird Count

Garden Bird/Wildlife Count for May 2023 is now calculated. Biggest increase was starlings while goldfinches dropped significantly.
Weather passed couple of days has changed much since this time last week. From glorious sunshine and war temperatures to grey, damp and cold skies.
